Inspired by minimalism design principles, this home will be curated and sophisticated yet simultaneously relaxed. The same principles will be carried to outdoor areas to create a seamless indoor-outdoor living experience on the Chesapeake Bay.

Pieces with straight lines will be combined with pieces with organic silhouettes to achieve balanced compositions. Natural materials will be incorporated to create an inviting space that connects the inhabitants to their surroundings. A restrained color palette will lead to a serene, restful environment. Pops of color will be introduced through art and accessories.

The functionality and usage of each space are major points of consideration. The purposefully planned interiors will be well suited for entertaining, but also very livable. The ultimate goal is to create an environment that suits the needs of James, reflects him and his lifestyle, and offers him comfort and pleasure in this home.

Pieces with straight lines will create effortless vignettes while organic silhouettes will soften the space.

Materials

Various textures and natural materials will be layered to heighten the tactile experience and create an inviting, warm atmosphere. 

Colors

White walls will serve as backdrop to a restrained color palette comprised of neutral colors, wood in light tones and greenery resulting in a bright, restful home.
